Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts has re-instated added SNAP benefits that were funded by Congress by the Families First Coronavirus legislation. Center for Rural Affairs Policy Associate Nathan Beacom says those funds are used and badly needed in rural Nebraska and having them re-instated will help several families.
He says these SNAP benefits help stimulate Nebraska’s rural economy.
Beacom says the Governor decided to make the re-instatement due to the continuation of the COVID 19 pandemic.
Beacom says anyone having questions about the benefits can contact them at the Center for Rural Affairs at their website at cfra.org.
