Growth Energy CEO, Tom Buis is stepping down from the lobbyist organization for renewable fuel issues. He says he’ll remain with the group as co-chairman of the board with Jeff Broin.

Buis says the accomplishment he’s most proud of as CEO of Growth Energy is the success they’ve had defending renewable fuels and the RFS from attacks from big oil interests.

Buis says the decision to leave as CEO and become board co-chair was his.

Buis became CEO of Growth Energy in March of 2009. Prior to that, he served as President of the National Farmers Union.
