Central Plains Dairy Expo Back For 2021

Dairy producers from around the region welcomed the Central Plains Dairy Expo back to Sioux Falls this week after a hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic. Renee Brod is the Central Plains Dairy Expo Member Director. She says the number of exhibitors at the trade show was down just slightly from past years.

Jason Mischel with Valley Queen Cheese Factory is on the Central Plains Dairy Expo Board of Directors. He says the Expo also featured various educational sessions covering topics including genetics, dairy nutrition and how to leverage new technology like robotics.

He says it has been an unprecedent year in the dairy industry and the milk market due to COVID.

The Expo took special COVID precautions and organizers were pleased with attendance.
