The Center for Rural Affairs recently held a meeting for veterans who want to farm or ranch. CFRA Policy Associate Cora Fox says it’s the first of several networking opportunities they’ll be holding to assist former military men and women who want to work in production agriculture.
She says the Center’s helping veterans get the training they need.
Fox says they’re also assisting veterans in accessing Farm Bill programs to help them get started.
Fox says any veteran who has questions or wants more information on what’s available can log onto the Center for Rural Affairs website or call them at 402-687-2100., extension 1012.
