Cedar County, like most other rural counties in Nebraska, is struggling to find ways to pay for bridge and road repairs.
County Commission Chairman Dave McGregor says they made some changes in their budgeting to target the issue………

He says the state Department of Roads has made some changes that could help them with their bridge replacements…..

The county used to get some federal money for bridge replacements, but that program ended a few years ago. McGregor says they still have one bridge eligible for that program……

McGregor says the county has over two hundred bridges to inspect and maintain.
