Cedar Knox Rural Water Looking to City of Yankton Supply

Cedar Knox Rural Water has approached the City of Yankton about the potential to buy water. The rural water district supplies water to a wide area of the two counties from a treatment plant on the south side of Lewis & Clark Lake.
City Finance Officer Al Viereck, sitting in for the vacationing city manager, says the rural water district is looking for help to serve customers south of Yankton…..

Viereck says they can work with larger consumers…

Viereck says they would be able to supply Cedar Knox, especially with the construction of the new water plant…..

Viereck says they don’t have a formal proposal yet.
