Due to the COVID 19 pandemic the seventh annual Prime Time Gala event of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation was held virtually this year rather than in person. Foundation President Ryan Eichler says they were able to raise a record amount of funds for Feeding South Dakota.

The Cattlemen’s Foundation has donated over one and a half million dollars to Feeding South Dakota with its Prime-Time Gala events. Eichler says they also were able with their Virtual event to raise money for five scholarships and held their Fed Cattle Exchange competition.

He says they raised $15,000 in scholarship money and also provided $3,000 to their Fed Cattle Exchange winners. Eichler says the aim with having the Fed Cattle Exchange is to benefit the future of South Dakota’s cattle industry, its young people.

Eichler says they’re planning to hold their 8th Prime Time Gala next June with entertainment to be provided by Little Big Town.
