Towner area cattle rancher and former North Dakota State Senator Ryan Taylor today is announcing his intention to run for State Agriculture Commissioner. Taylor a Democrat says North Dakota’s farmers and ranchers need a much stronger voice representing them and he offers that choice.

Taylor ran unsuccessfully in 2012 for Governor but says he learned a lot from that experience which he hopes will benefit him in this race.

There are now three candidates for the Ag Commissioner’s post in North Dakota as Incumbent Commissioner and Republican Doug Goehring is facing a primary challenge from Judy Estenson. Barring any other announcements Taylor would face off against the winner of the Republican primary.
