Iowa’s Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Ag Secretary have filed as intervenors in a federal case to stop the EPA and Army Corps of Engineer’s Water of the U.S. rule. The Iowa politicians are joining the 13 states challenging the rule in the North Dakota district court. Iowa Cattlemen’s Association President Dr. Phil Reemtsma is pleased Iowa’s leaders are joining in the battle against WOTUS.

Reemtsma says he and many others want the EPA and Corps to throw out WOTUS completely and start over.

He says all the federal agencies have done with WOTUS is make the regulation more complicated and unworkable.

The 13 states in the North Dakota district were able to get the original injunction stopping implementation of WOTUS, now that has extended across the country until the issue is settled in all the courts.
