National Cattlemen Beef Association members are gathering in San Diego, California this week for their industry convention. South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association President Todd Wilkinson says one of the top of mind issues for his delegation is how to market beef to a changing makeup of consumers.

He says cattle producers will also be talking about the importance of advancing trade agreements.

Wilkinson says another trade area they’ll focus on is finally re-opening the Chinese market which has been closed to U.S. beef since the BSE case in 2003..

And as always they’ll be reviewing the current status of their fight to slow down the burdensome regulations being handed down by EPA.
