Cattle Feeder Days Set In Minnesota

Cattle feeders can learn more about fine-tuning their rations for peak performance, as well as labor force management in their operation at the upcoming Cattle Feeder Days. The meetings will be held at various locations in Minnesota, according to Nicole Kenney Rambo with the University of Minnesota Beef Team. She says topics including how to improve feedlot diets through a mineral program.

Rambo says they’ll also provide recent U of M research on how to include oil-extracted distillers grain in the ration.

Plus, with the expansion of feedlots taking place in Minnesota they’ll look at labor recruitment and management. Meetings are scheduled for December 9 in Tracy and Morris and December 10 in Luverne.
