A campaign is underway to get the legalization of medical marijuana on the 2020 Nebraska ballot. Lincoln State Senator Adam Morfeld filed the initial paperwork for the initiative last week. He says a steering committee will poll residents and come back with language to submit for filing.

Morfield says not only will this provide relief to hundreds of Nebraskans suffering from medical conditions it will also help fix the state’s bank account.

A newly formed committee will collect public input and develop the language to get the issue on the 2020 ballot. Lincoln State Senator Anna Wishart is also sponsoring this initiative.
