Members of Calvary Baptist Church in Yankton have started an effort to put together care packages for the Yankton Police Department. The idea for care packages came from congregation member, Pam Van Meeteren

Van Meeteren says the church wants to express appreciation for the work local law enforcement does for the community

Van Meeteren says another simple way to help out local law enforcement is for parents to teach kids to respect police officers. If you want to help with the care packages, you can drop items off at the counter in the lobby by July 24, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2407 Broadway Yankton, SD 57078
