An environmental training workshop for Confined Animal Feedlot Operators is set for Wednesday in Huron at the Crossroads starting at 8:30 a.m. SDSU Extension Swine Specialist Dr. Bob Thaler says they’ll kick of the day long discussion talking about water quality and nutrition.

He says those attending will hear about how the permitting process works and what’s required.

Thaler says they’re encouraging everyone to take part, not just farmers and ranchers.
