Jimmy Butler wants out, but the Minnesota Timberwolves are hopeful of changing his mind.
Butler has told the Wolves he wants to be traded. He has given his preferences, including the Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets.
If not traded, Butler plans to leave Minnesota next summer in free agency. He could get a maximum five year deal next summer from a team for 190 million dollars.
Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau is hesitant to trade Butler after acquiring him from the Bulls in a 2017 trade.
Butler averaged 22 points and five rebounds for Minnesota last season.
