Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman has been sharply critical of legislators this session for spending too much, and not focusing more on tax cuts.

Senator Tyson Larson of O’Neill, a member of the Appropriations Committee, says a lot of the spending that the Governor is upset about is one time………

The Governor said the revised state budget has one hundred thirty six million dollars in new spending.

Larson says the committee was able to fund the one time projects, and not have much of an impact on the state’s budget reserve…………

The legislature is on a break today and Monday, returning for the final month on Tuesday.
