The Yankton County Commission this week approved emergency repairs for a bridge across the James River.

The bridge, on old Highway 50 north east of Yankton has seen extensive scouring around the east end of the bridge.

Commissioners approved the action, and will supplement the road budget at the end of the month if needed.
