The Yankton County Commission heard about the impacts of load limits on county bridges.

The Commission held a special meeting at noon Friday to talk about possible additional fines for trucks ignoring load limits.

Tom Yaggie, who has a dairy farm near Mission Hill, says the truck that picks up his milk got caught after traveling over “Fleegs Bridge” on Old Highway 50…..

Yaggie says the truck was coming on the most direct route to his farm….

Yaggie says there is no good detour to his farm….

After the meeting, Commission Chairman Todd Woods says they are working to get that bridge and the Johnson Bridge both back up to rated load limits.
