Briar Cliff totaled 90 points and is the preseason coaches’ selections to win the 2015-2016 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Championship.
The Chargers tallied five first place votes. Dordt garnered three first place votes and was picked to finish second with 86 points.
Two other teams, Midland and Dakota Wesleyan, also received first place votes. The Warriors were picked third with 77 points and 1 first place nod while Dakota Wesleyan was picked fourth with two first place votes. Last season Morningside and Dakota Wesleyan each shared the best regular season conference record at 17-3, while Midland was the GPAC Postseason tournament champ.
Points were awarded on a 10-1 basis and coaches’ could not vote for their own team.
