About five-thousand people gathered in Des Moines last (Thursday) night with President-elect Donald Trump.
Trump spoke for about 45 minutes, promising to pursue a “buy American, hire American” agenda as president, with tax reform and the repeal of ObamaCare as top agenda items.
Earlier this week, Iowa Governor Terry Branstad agreed to be the new US Ambassador to China.
Trump introduced Branstad to the crowd.
Branstad offered very brief remarks.
Vice President-elect Mike Pence introduced Trump, noting last night’s rally on December 8th marked the one-month anniversary of Trump’s victory on November 8th.
