Members of the Boyd County Rural Water District Number Two have been cut off from their water supply since the Spencer Dam failed and collapsed about two weeks ago.
Rex Black, Board President of the District, says they are in line for funds from FEMA…sometime..
Black says FEMA officials told them it could be two to three years before they would get any federal funds.
Black says they are asking for donations to help them meet the matching costs..
Black says they have lined up a contractor to install a new water line, but it will take some time…
Black says they have about four hundred fifty rural families on their system, plus the towns of Spencer and Lynch.
