The Boone County Iowa Board of Supervisors have voted unanimously to approve a resolution opposing the Dakota Access Pipeline. Energy Transfer Partners of Texas wants to build the pipeline bringing oil from North Dakota across South Dakota and Iowa ending up in Illinois. Supervisor’s Board Chairman Chet Hollingshead says most of the county’ residents are against the pipeline.

He says there are a number of concerns with the pipeline.

Hollingshead says he and his fellow supervisors see no real value with the Dakota Access Pipeline for Boone County.

Hollingshead says they will be filing their resolution with the Iowa Utilities Board which has to sign off on the project. That decision is expected to be made by mid November.
