A bill that would have stopped planned changes to a state highway in Bon Homme County was defeated in a legislative committee this week. The state Department of Transportation has proposed rebuilding sections of Highway 50 in Tabor and Tyndall from four lanes with a median, to three lanes with a center turning lane.
Former legislator Frank Kloucek of Scotland says they will continue to push the issue….
Kloucek says residents have proposed some low cost options to improve safety along those highways…
Kloucek says they will follow up with the state transportation commission………
The proposed changes to the highway have not yet been added to the state five-year plan.
