BOLD Will Try And Educate New Senators On Pipeline

It appears as if Tuesday’s election results giving the Republicans control of the Senate may lead to a vote early next year on approving the Keystone XL pipeline project. Pipeline Opponent BOLD Nebraska vows to continue fighting the project. Spokesperson Jane Kleeb says it’ll take a massive education effort but they’re mobilizing now to work with the newly elected Senators
Kleeb says while they have a bit of an uphill battle in the Senate now have a new friend in the House in newly elected Representative Brad Ashford who defeated incumbent and pipeline supporter Lee Terry in Nebraska.
Kleeb says it’s a real possibility President Obama could come out with his decision on the Keystone XL Pipeline sometime as soon as the Lame Duck Session. She says now he’s waiting to see how the Nebraska Supreme Court rules on the routing issue.
