The Nebraska Public Service Commission is holding a hearing in York Wednesday to take comment on the Keystone XL Oil Pipeline. The PSC is in the process of determining whether or not to approve a route for the project. BOLD Nebraska Energy Director Ben Gotschall says it’s an important hearing for opponents of the pipeline to let their views be known.

He says their primary concern with the project is its effect on eminent domain hurting landowners in or near the path of the pipeline.

Gotschall says if they can convince the PSC to deny the route, it’ll at least slow the project and make a significant statement.

The PSC hearing will be at the Holthus Convention Center in York starting at 9a.m. Wednesday. The PSC will also accept public comment on their website..(psc.nebraska.gov.)
