The State Department has extended the public comment period on Trans Canada’s Keystone Pipeline Project.  Pipeline Opponent, BOLD Nebraska Energy Director Ben Gotschall says the delay is positive for project opponents and means the State Department is respecting Nebraska’s process regarding the pipeline.

Gotschall says it won’t be a quick process for the State Department to go through all the comments since 2.5 million have been submitted.

The timeline for the comment period extension has not yet been determined. Gotschall says he expects a decision the project sometime in 2015.
