Protestors supporting Climate Change and opposing the Keystone XL pipeline project are marching across the country today. A group of protestors led by BOLD Nebraska is marching to the state capital in Lincoln. BOLD’s Jane Kleeb says they’re delivering 1,000 petition signatures asking the Governor to disclose the contents of oil trains and oil pipelines.
Kleeb says while opposition to Trans Canada’s XL pipeline project is growing she doesn’t expect a Presidential decision on the project until after the November election.
Kleeb says the Nebraska Supreme Court September 5 will hear a case involving a state law that allowed routing of the Keystone XL project through Nebraska. That law was thrown out by a lower court judge’s decision and has been appealed to the high court.
