BOLD Continues Challenging Pipeline Despite House Approval

Friday the U.S. House approved legislation authorizing construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. The measure was sent over to the Senate where a vote is expected this week. BOLD Nebraska energy director Ben Gotschall while not surprised by the move in Congress doesn’t think they’ll get it past the President.
Gotschall says for the Senate to vote on the project now ignores the rights of landowners who are in the path of the pipeline.
The Senate vote could come as early as Tuesday.
