North Dakota State will be looking to become the first college football team to win 5-straight championships when the Bison represent the Missouri Valley Football Conference in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Game on Jan. 9 in Frisco, Texas.
No. 3 seeded NDSU (12-2) will take on No. 1 ranked Jacksonville State (OVC). The Gamecocks’ (13-1) only loss was to Auburn in overtime in the season opener. NDSU’s only two losses were decided on the last offensive play of the game (to Montana in the season opener and to South Dakota).
Jacksonville State defeated Sam Houston State Saturday, 62-10, to secure a spot in the championship game, while NDSU had beaten Richmond, 33-7, on Friday night.
