For the third-straight indoor track & field season, the North Dakota State Bison swept The Summit League Championships Saturday afternoon with the women’s team claiming their league-record 11th title in-a-row and the men defending their third-consecutive crown.
The Bison women racked up 224 total points, besting second-place South Dakota by 16.5 points. The Coyotes finished as the meet’s runner-up for the fourth-straight season with 207.5 points, followed by Oral Roberts (87), South Dakota State (81), Omaha (33), Western Illinois (16.50) and Fort Wayne (12)
On the men’s side, NDSU was able to hold off late-surging South Dakota State and South Dakota with 179.5 points. The Jackrabbits narrowly edged out USD for second place with 163 points as the ‘Yotes managed third-place (162.5) ahead of Oral Roberts (112) and Western Illinois (20).
