Biofuel Pandemic Relief Funding Yet To Go Out

During his weekly news conference with farm broadcasters on Tuesday, Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley accused President Biden of missing in action when it comes to addressing biofuel issues. The Iowa Senator says he’s signed onto a letter to Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack about pandemic relief funding that was promised ethanol and has yet to go out.

He says the former President was guilty of not getting renewable fuel volume obligations out and Biden has followed suit.

Grassley also says the President is looking for answers to high gas pump prices to OPEC and to Big Oil Executives instead of to the Corn Belt and biofuel producers.

Grassley says it all comes down to common sense because studies show the expanded use of ethanol leads to lower gas prices by an average of 22 cents per gallon. He says ethanol also lower greenhouse gas emissions and provides domestic energy jobs.
