The U.S. House has included extension of the Biodiesel Tax Credit through 2031 in the Build Back Better Act. Paul Winters with the National Biodiesel Board says he’s pleased the House included provisions that will help reduce carbon emissions such as the biodiesel tax credit act.

Iowa Soybean Association President Robb Ewoldt says having that tax credit extended is critical for soybean grower’s bottomline.

Winters says the biodiesel tax credit supports a number of jobs with that figure just growing every year.

Biodiesel is 74 percent less carbon intensive than petroleum diesel on average had has prevented more than 140 million tons of carbon emissions since 2010.
