The Environmental Protection Agency this week released the 2020 renewable volume obligations under the RFS for biodiesel. Iowa Biodiesel Board Executive Director Grant Kimberley says they’re pleased the agency put those levels at 2.43 billion gallons.
The advanced biofuels levels were put at 4.88 billion gallons. Kimberley also says while they’re pleased with the levels, they are concerned over the impacts the granting of RFS waivers have brought.
He says the RFS waiver granting issue needs to be addressed and President Trump needs to make his EPA administrator follow the RFS law.
Kimberley says the President needs to make sure the EPA chief follows through with the campaign promises Trump made to support the RFS.
