Bill Would Mandate Oversight Of Regulators

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds has introduced a resolution that would address what he called overregulation in the country. He says the proposal, called “RESTORE” would allow Congress to review rules put in place on legislation…

“RESTORE” stands for “Regulation Sensibility Through Oversight Restoration.” Rounds says regulations can be quite expensive…

Rounds says many rules are necessary, but this act would allow Congress the oversight role that he thinks is mandated…

Because it is in the form of a resolution, if it is passed by the House and Senate, it would not need the President’s signature.
