The Big Ten Conference announced the bracket for the 2016 Big Ten Baseball Tournament, May 25-29 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb.
Minnesota won its 23rd Big Ten Championship and secured the No. 1 seed.
The Golden Gophers finished the Big Ten season with a 16-7 conference record and will open tournament play on Wednesday, taking on eighth-seeded Iowa at 5 p.m. CT.
Nebraska locked in the No. 2 seed with a 16-8 mark and will face No. 7-seeded Michigan State on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Third-seeded Indiana finished Big Ten play with a 15-9 record and will take on sixth-seeded Maryland at 9 a.m.
Ohio State claimed the fourth seed with a 15-9 record in conference play and will take on fifth-seeded Michigan at 9 p.m.
The tournament’s double-elimination format will culminate with a single championship game on Sunday, with the winner earning the tournament title and the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. All eight teams will begin play in one of two brackets, with the No. 1, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 8 seeds appearing in one bracket and the No. 2, No. 3, No. 6 and No. 7 seeds appearing in the other bracket.
