The Big Ten baseball tournament will open a five-year run at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha Wednesday.
There is a wide-open field featuring two of the hottest teams in the nation in Minnesota and Purdue and a defending champion Iowa club that is looking to reach a third straight title game.
This will be the third time the tournament is held at the home of the College World Series. Host team Nebraska did not make the tournament.
Iowa, as a #6 seed, faces third seed Michigan to open the tourney Wednesday morning. Top seed Minnesota takes on Michigan State Wednesday night.
