The Yankton School Board has approved a plan that would put wireless cameras on all of the districts buses.
Complaints of drivers passing stopped busses, along with some discipline issues drove the decision.
Business Manager Jason Bietz says they have been testing the system on one bus for the last several months….

Bietz says the cameras should lead to better behavior on the buses…………

Bietz says the system will also soon allow them to track if students are on the right bus…..

The video will be recorded on each bus, then downloaded to the districts servers when the bus returns to the garage. The school board voted to spend just under sixty thousand dollars to add the security system.
