The Biden Administration has appointed Steve Dick as South Dakota’s State Executive Director for the Farm Service Agency. He has been Executive Director of Ag United for South Dakota since 2005 and worked for South Dakota Senator Tom Daschle. He says that experience will allow him to hit the ground running in this role.
He says he has also worked with a broad base of agricultural groups in South Dakota which will also allow him to serve all aspects of the ag community in the state.
Dick says FSA programs have been critical for farmers during past low price cycles and the pandemic and continue to more effectively serve that sector as technology advances.
He starts his new role on April 11.
South Dakota Democratic Party Vice Chair Nikki Gronli has also been appointed by the Biden Administration as South Dakota’s State Director of Rural Development in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
