As summer heats up and cattle move to pasture, it is important to consider grazing management.
Ben Beckman, University of Nebraska-Lincoln Livestock Extension Educator, explains practical ways to ensure healthy plant life and optimal vegetation for livestock grazing.
“We do need to know what’s out in our pastures so we can manage appropriately for it,” Beckman said. “So, the first step is knowing… what your predominate species that you’re going to be grazing are.”
