The Minnesota Twins have signed right-handed reliever Matt Belisle to an $800,000, one-year contract, bringing back the popular veteran after a stint with Cleveland.

The Twins have designated utility infielder Gregorio Petit for release or assignment to make room on the roster.

Belisle had a 5.06 ERA for the Indians in eight appearances earlier this season until he was assigned to Triple-A Columbus. The 38-year-old posted a 4.03 ERA for the Twins in 2017 in 62 appearances.
