The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, the Federation of State Beef Councils, and Cattlemen’s Beef Board have adopted their long range strategic plan. NCBA President and Wyoming rancher, Philip Ellis says the comprehensive plan covers a five year period.

Ellis says a key part of the plan is their strategic initiative designed to increase beef demand.

He says another important component to improve U.S. beef demand is the Trans Pacific Partnership and other free trade agreements.

Ellis says he’s optimistic about the future of the beef industry and was encouraged by the progress made at their summer conference.
