U.S. Meat Export Federation officials say export volumes of pork and beef exceeded last year’s total in May. Meat Export Federation Chairman Mark Jagels says beef exports to Hong Kong increased and value more than doubled to 95.2 million dollars
Jagels is hoping that will lead to Mainland China fully opening to U.S. beef.
Jagels says pork also has had good trade momentum lately and for May had an export value of $ 600 million for the third month in a row.
