The Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota is advising people to be cautious when signing up for themed races, also known as “fun runs.”  B-B-B spokesman Dan Hendrickson says most go off without a hitch, but in recent years a handful have been rescheduled, postponed or even canceled

Hendrickson suggests checking bbb.org and looking at customer reviews to determine if canceled or postponed races have been a problem in the past.  He says don’t be fooled by a fancy website, confirm with the local venue that the event is on, and pay by credit card.
