Nebraska and Iowa State added victories while Minnesota suffered its first setback in Monday’s college basketball action.
James Palmer Jr. scored 14 of his game-high 20 points in the second half, as Nebraska picked up a crucial road win with a 68-66 victory over Clemson in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
Palmer hit 8-of-14 shots from the field and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds, while Isaac Copeland Jr. totaled 16 points.
Marial Shayok scored 18 points, freshman Tyrese Haliburton had 16 and Iowa State cruised past Nebraska-Omaha 82-55 for its third straight win.
Michael Jacobson scored 13 points with 10 rebounds for his first double-double with the Cyclones (6-1), who never trailed in disposing of the Mavericks.
Nik Popovic scored all 18 of his points in the second half and Wynston Tabbs added 17 points to lead Boston College to a 68-56 victory over Minnesota and send the Golden Gophers to their first loss of the season.
