Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton is adding an enhanced security system in the Women’s and Children’s Unit.

In addition to the secure entrances, infants in the unit wear a small device on their ankles. It has the ability to track an infant’s location at all times. Johnson says the upgrades continue an ongoing trend…..

Johnson says they are also implementing other security changes….

Johnson says they want to make sure that patients and visitors feel secure in and around the hospital.
