An independent health care facility in Yankton has been sold. A statement was released by Avera Sacred Heart Hospital.
Avera Sacred Heart Hospital has purchased Lewis & Clark Specialty Hospital in Yankton. Avera will be purchasing all the buildings, property, plant and hospital equipment, including the 10-bed hospital, family medicine clinic, physical therapy clinic and the imaging center. The independent physician practices located in the facilities will remain independent and become tenants.
A spokesman for Avera Health said “finalization of the sale is expected April 1 at which point more details will be made available through local media.”
