Avera Sacred Heart Cardiac Rehabilitation Recertified

The Cardiac Rehabilitation and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programs at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton were recently re certified after undergoing a peer-reviewed accreditation process.

Exercise Specialist Kathy Larson says the certification is important to them and their patients…..

Larson says the recertification is not pursued by all hospitals….

Larson says cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation programs are designed to help people with heart issues recover faster and improve their quality of life….

Both programs include exercise, education, counseling and support for patients and their families.
