As of next year, health care provided by Avera Health physicians in South Dakota will no longer be covered under insurance from the Sanford Health Plan.

Avera’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr Tad Jacobs says they know the move could be stressful to patients

Rob Bates, Avera’s vice president of managed care services, says they have studied the impacts

Jacobs says they will work with people looking for the right coverage in their home area

Bates says the changes are a reflection of the changes in health care coverage taking place across the country.
