Augustana Into Top Ten

The Augustana College men’s basketball team has moved into the top 10 of the National Association of Basketball Coaches Top 25 Poll this week.

The Vikings jumped up three spots and are ranked No. 9 in this week’s rankings.

Augustana is the highest ranked of three Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams this week. MSU Moorhead moved up two spots and is ranked 12th this week while Minnesota State dropped from 16th to 21st.

West Liberty was a unanimous pick for the No. 1 spot for the second straight week, where it has been for seven straight weeks. Lincoln Memorial was picked second, followed by Indianapolis in third, Bellarmine in fourth and Colorado School of Mines in fifth. Florida Southern was ranked sixth, followed by Barry at seventh, Colorado-Colorado Springs eighth, Augustana in ninth and Tarleton State rounding out the top 10.
