Augustana women’s golf qualified for the NCAA National Championships as a team for the seventh time in program history.

They won the Central Region Championship shooting an 82-over-par 946 (316-314-316) in the 54-hole tournament.

The Vikings finished seven strokes ahead of Arkansas Tech, who shot 89-over-par 953 (332-309-312 to finish second.

Augustana has won the Central Region Championship four times in program history. The Vikings won the Central Region Championship in 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12 and now in 2014-15.     Augustana freshman Sierra Langlie won individual medalist honors shooting an 11-over-par 227 (76-75-76) to finish two strokes ahead of Central Oklahoma’s Marla Souvannasing. Langlie is the second player at Augustana to win individual medalist honors at the Central Region Championship, joining Allie Ostrander who won the central region title in 2010-11.
